Collect the evidence.

We retrieve published BLS QCEW and OpenFEMA records. Each source response is saved as a local snapshot with its URL, retrieval time and checksum. The preview uses a fixed reference window rather than suggesting that historical figures describe today.

Keep the definitions intact.

Remediation services is broader than household restoration. FEMA major disaster declarations are administrative records, not a census of all physical disasters. We keep source definitions, geography and reference periods visible alongside the findings.

State declaration tables exclude DC, territories and tribal requests. BLS national figures use the published private-sector U.S. aggregate; state comparisons show the fifty states. Suppressed observations remain unavailable.

Calculate first. Explain second.

Code selects, deduplicates and formats the statistics. OpenAI supplies brief explanatory prose using the approved context. It does not create the values in the charts or tables. Numeric and unsupported superlative claims in generated prose are rejected.

Human review of interpretation remains necessary before publication. These two local samples are for design and workflow review; the full production validation and revision system has not been implemented.

Make the work inspectable.

Reports link to original documentation and include exact-value tables, CSV downloads and citation controls. The source manifest lists the preserved snapshots. No synthetic values are mixed into these sample reports.
